Yesterday we got word from NASA that a 660 pound satellite is supposed to crash into Earth today. According to the New York Post, the retired Reuven Ramaty High Energy Solar Spectroscopic Imager spacecraft is supposed to entire into our atmosphere after nearly 2 decades.
So should we be worried? Experts are saying not at all. Most of the object will burn on its way down, but there may be a couple of pieces that could touch down.
“The risk of harm coming to anyone on Earth is low — approximately 1 in 2,467,” the agency said in a statement, according to the New York Post.
Honestly, I would love for a piece to hit me so I could sue.
