UCLA Reinstates Mask Mandate, Will More CA Schools Follow?

UCLA announced this week that their are bringing back their indoor mask mandate starting this Friday. Because of the rise in COVID cases, the school felt it necessary to require all students to wear face coverings to avoid the spread of COVID.

According to KTLA, there were 870 new positive cases on campus just last week alone. That is the most they have had in a single week in a long time, making their severity level extremely high.

Not only are masks indoors required, but the school is also asking students to test themselves weekly and stay away from congregating with friends for lunch indoors.

This has me wondering if other schools will soon follow suit. Covid cases has been rising all over Los Angeles, and there have been whispers of masks coming back for all of us.
