A hot chicken joint in East Hollywood has been named "the fastest-growing restaurant" in America. Quite frankly, their come up story is inspiring. It's called Dave's Hot Chicken. They launched their chicken joint in 2017 and are already a household name.
To know me is to know how much I love a good chicken sandwich. My favorite joint so far since I have moved to LA has been "Howlin Ray's" in Chinatown. My boyfriend and I are such foodies and are always on the hunt for new spots to try good eats. So when I heard about Dave's Hot Chicken, we immediately made plans to visit this week.
Dave's started out as a simple pop-up. They would serve their delicious chicken in parking lots. According to Patch, four friends took their $900 fryer and created a staple business in the area. Now they have more than 30 restaurants throughout California, 62 nationwide, and 700 more stores planned nationwide over the next 5 years.
