This week a brand new homeless shelter opened up in Northridge in honor of the late Alex Trebek. Formerly known as the Skateland Rollerskating rink, the new center was made possible thanks to the donation that Trebek and his wife made before he passed away. According to CBS News, Trebek made it his life goal to help with the homeless crisis. So it's a beautiful thing to see come to pass.
The 23,000-square-foot Trebek Center has 107 beds and is open to all LA residents.
