For the past couple of months, the state of California has been in an intense drought. Not to mention the temperatures have been soaring, wildfires, there have been solar power problems, and power plants have been taken off line, according to abc7la. All of this has led to experts predicting possible blackouts this summer throughout the sunshine state.
According to LA Times, over 1.3 million homes could possibly experience an electricity shortage. Luckily, there are things residents can do to lower the chances of a blackout happening in their home. According to LA Times, officials are asking that people turn off their air conditioners when the sun goes down, and to only cool their home during the day.
