Orange County Man Arrested For Threatening To Bomb Merriam-Webster

A man from Orange County, California was recently arrested for threatening to shoot up and bomb Merriam-Webster over their definitions of gender words such as "female", "boy" and more.

The man's name is Jeremy David Hanson, and last year he apparently sent threatening messages to the dictionary company over what he believes to be improper defining of certain words that describe identity. According to the New York Times, Hanson anonymously sent these messages claiming that Merriam-Webster were “degrading the English language and denying reality."

After be began threatening people's lives, the FBI traced his IP address and was able to locate him and arrested him for one count of interstate communication of threats to commit violence.
