There was a scary incident this morning on the 405 freeway in the Brentwood area of Los Angeles. A mountain lion had been crossing the highway when it was struck by an oncoming vehicle. This same lion successfully crossed the 405 about two months ago.
According to NBC Los Angeles, the big cat was found dead on the side of the road at 1:00 in the morning near the Getty Center.
This is exactly why the wildlife bridge is needed more than ever. If you didn't know, a giant bridge is being built over the 101 Freeway. This will give animals like mountain lions a safe option to cross.
