I always have a fear of falling off a cliff during a hike. Every time I step foot on Runyon Canyon I have a mini panic attack that I might slip and fall. Even though this bizarre situation involved a car, its a reminder to be cautious in all areas when around these canyons.

Here are some helpful tips when hiking so you can be extra safe.

  • Always hike with a buddy
  • Never walk off the trail
  • Be cautious of your route
  • Always pack supplies like flashlights, whistles and ropes.
