Recently the city of Anaheim approved Disney to expand the Disneyland Resort and oh boy are we excited to see what is to come!
An "Avatar"-themed experience had been announced by Disney CEO Bob Iger back in 2023 but with the expansion approval we will finally be able to see their vision come to life. The "Avatar"-themed land will be "the first new themed area to break ground under the recently approved Disneyland Forward proposal."
“We have just gotten approval from the city of Anaheim for the biggest expansion of Disneyland since we opened DCA in 2001,” Iger said during the presentation. “It’s a huge expansion. We haven’t been specific about what’s going to be in it, except for Avatar.”
Disney fans are hoping for other themed experiences such as "Tangled," "Zootopia," "Encanto," and "Black Panther." There hasn't been too much information about the "Avatar"-themed land but it will most likely be similar to the one at Walt Disney World in Florida.
