I think it's safe to say that most dogs have been super happy to have their parents at home during stay at home orders.
I know my dog Tyga is definitely loving it!
Experts think that our canine friends might have a major issue with separation anxiety when stay at home measures are relaxed.
Dr. Karen Sueda, a veterinarian behaviorist says, "Dogs thrive on consistency and predictability, as we all do, so any time there’s an abrupt change, it can cause stress.”
Our furry friends will most likely experience this as soon as we are able to go back to our "regular" routines.
Dr. Sueda suggests executing small absences so the dog gets used to you not being there for incremental increases in time.
