Happy Feel Good Friday!
This weeks Feel Good Friday story comes from Doctors Medical Center in Modesto. This hospital has come up with a very sweet and clever way to soothe anxious young patients en route to the operating room.
Young patients at Doctors Medical Center are allowed to drive themselves into surgery in little mini toy cars.
The young surgery patients can choose between driving a black Mercedes or Pink Volkswagen Beetle. If the tiny tots are not capable of driving the mini whips, they can also be guided by a remote control.
According to Good News Network, the cars have been a huge hit in helping lift spirits during daunting times.
“When they find out they can go into the operating room riding in a cool little car, they light up and in most cases, their fears melt away,” hospital spokeswoman Krista Deans told KTVU. “And when parents see their children put at ease, it puts them at ease as well.”
