The stars came out to celebrate what would have been Michael Jackson’s 60th birthday at the Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas, for The Michael Jackson Diamond Celebration.
Michael’s children, Paris and Prince, were there to accept the posthumous 2018 Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation Legacy Award for Humanitarian Service on his behalf.
Usher was asked by Extra about what it meant for him to attend the event, “Today is his birthday, so, really excited about that, Usher said, being an artist, for Michael Jackson, was more than what he did as an entertainer, but also to who he influenced and who he advocated for.”
Usher also revealed what Michael had told him, “What you do is not easy, to perform and sing, to dance and actually sing, it’s a talent, it’s a gift, don’t take it for granted.”
Usher says that Michael’s advice has always stuck with him, which is why he makes it a point to sing live whenever possible.
Now that is some GREAT advice.
