It's official!
Joaquin Phoenix will play the Joker in an upcoming origin film.
According to several reports the movie will be directed by Todd Phillips and will be a standalone film that will be totally separate from Jared Leto's role in the DC Cinematic Universe.
Jared Leto will still play the Joker in the sequel to Suicide Squad.
The Hollywood Reporter describes the new film as being โexploration of a man disregarded by society [that] is not only a gritty character study, but also a broader cautionary tale.โ
Ohhhhh I CAN NOT WAIT to see what they end up doing with this new Joker movie.
