The D23 Expo, billed as “The Ultimate Disney Fan Event”, is returning this weekend to the Anaheim Convention Center after two years.
D23 is Disney’s official fan club, with the name coming from “D” for Disney and “23” for the year the company was founded in 1923.
The D23 fan club boasts more than 1 million members around the globe with three levels of membership – Gold, Gold Duo, and General. It is anticipated that guests will arrive from all 50 states and 43 countries.
The event, which takes place Sept. 9, 10, and 11, will feature screenings, exhibits, presentations, and more – all revealing Disney magic.
The Opening Ceremony of the D23 Expo will offer fans a first look at the Disney 100 Years of Wonder presentation. That particular presentation will feature Disney CEO Bob Chapek and Tamron Hall . Honorees include Anthony Anderson, Kristen Bell, Chadwick Boseman, Patrick Dempsey, Idina Menzel, Ellen Pompeo, Tracee Ellis Ross, and more.
With the spotlight on all things Disney, more than 70 stars will make appearances at the event including new and fan - favorite shows and films such as The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder, Grey’s Anatomy, Disenchanted, Frozen, black - ish, Home Economics, Raven’s Home, Cesar Millan: Better Human, Better Dog, The Santa Clauses , Bob’s Burgers , and more.
Disney officials say this will be the seventh time the D23 Expo has been held with previous events happening in 2009, 2011, 2013, 2015, 2017, and 2019.

Tickets for the event are sold out, but the livestream will feature exclusive programming and major presentations from the event.
