A collection of Charles Dickens's unread and unpublished letters will be put on display for the first time.
- The eleven letters, which also include a variety of invitation notes, reveal the author's reading preferences, writing endeavors, and details about a trip to Switzerland that was addressed to a friend.
- In a letter dated February 10, 1866, Dickens complains about the loss of a Sunday postal service and threatens to move.
- More than 300 items, including personal objects, portraits, sketches, playbills, and books, were acquired from a US collector in 2020. The exhibit will go on display at the London museum and online from Wednesday.
