Top Dawg Entertainment, home to Kendrick Lamar, ScHoolboy Q, SZA, Jay Rock, Isaiah Rashad, Ab-Soul, SiR, Lance Skiiiwalker, REASON and Zacari. 2018’s concert featured a performance from the Astroworld rapper Travis Scott. The annual event is embedded into the ethos of the LA label and extremely important to TDE as it focuses on giving back to the same community and neighborhood that gave TDE CEO Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith and many others in the TDE family their start. The annual Community Day provides the Nickerson Gardens community with things that all children and families should have around the holidays, such as gifts, clothing and food. Above all else, the annual event provides the community with hope and real life examples in the artists and people who make up the TDE family that no matter where you come from, you can do something positive and put yourself in the position to give back to your community.

The outdoor concert kicked off around 1 p.m. with an address from Los Angeles city council member Joe Buscaino, who introduced Jay Rock.

TDE engineer MixedByAli then stepped up to the DJ spot, where he stayed the remainder of the concert. SZA, who Ali playfully referred to as “DJ S Dot,” soon joined him as she helped hype the crowd from behind the DJ booth.

Viral comedians/dancers Shiggy and Dan Rue woke up the audience with a few minutes of their famed moves before singer Zacari hit the stage along with SiR. Next was Nickerson Gardens local Ambjaay. Then Reason welcomed Ab-Soul for “Flick It Up,” before Isaiah Rashad, SiR and D Smoke.

Next Swaelee and Tyga performed. Then Big Boy brought out Compton's very own Roddy Ricch.

Just as the crowd thought things couldn't get better Chris Brown and two backup dancers then hit the stage for “Heat” and the Drake-assisted “No Guidance,” with Breezy live-harmonizing over a backing track. Then Kendrick Lamar hit the stage and Jay Rock Closed out the night performing "WIN"
