Check your pantry because the Food and Drug Administration just issued an urgent recall regarding Jif peanut butter due to a multi-state outbreak of Salmonella linked to the peanut butter.
The company recalled certain products that were made at the J.M. Smucker Company facility in Lexington, Kentucky. So far there have been 14 infections reported with 2 of those people being hospitalized due to the outbreak. You can head to the FDA website here to find more information on the recall.
Symptoms of salmonella poisoning can start developing between 12 and 72 hours after consuming the contaminated food and include diarrhea, fever, and abdominal cramps. Click here for more information.
