Are you looking for plans this weekend?
Bridgefest L.A. is taking over the 6th Street Bridge this weekend with free live musical performances, food, drinks, unique shopping and family-friendly activities. The free festival is brought to the city by the Los Angeles River Artists & Business Association and goes down from today, August 4th until Sunday, August 6th. The 6th Street Bridge will be fully shut down from traffic and guests can enjoy food trucks, the beer and cocktail garden, auto show, picnic area and more.
“We are bringing together local artists from the Arts District and Boyle Heights to celebrate the new 6th Street bridge and support the unique blend of cultures and talents that thrive within these vibrant communities,” event officials said.
The event is free for the festival but proceeds form Bridgefest L.A. will go towards a "new 'micro bridge' grant program to help local nonprofit organizations throughout Boyle Heights and the Arts District." Free shuttles are available and they'll be leaving every 15 minutes from the Mariachi Plaza at South Boyle Ave and 1st Street from 12:45pm until 5:30pm. For more information, click here.
