A Southwest airplane has minor damages after it collided with a bird as it was landing at the Hollywood Burbank Airport yesterday.
The photo of the front of the plane is crazy because the bird left a pretty good sized dent on the nose of the plane. It's crazy a bird can do that! The collision happened at 2:15pm when Southwest Flight 1422 was landing after coming from Las Vegas. The plane did land safely and there were no injuries among the passengers or crew members. According to KTLA 5, the plane was moved to a different area of the airport to undergo inspection for safety reasons and potential repairs.
“The aircraft is out of service to undergo a maintenance review, and a different aircraft was brought in to continue the flight,” officials told KTLA.
