Long Beach Is Bringing Back Inflatable Water Playgrounds At Local Beaches

Long Beach is bringing back their popular inflatable water playgrounds at 2 local beaches for residents to enjoy this summer.

The inflatable playgrounds will placed by the Alamitos Beach and Bayshore Avenue beach starting this Friday! The inflatable playgrounds are free to use and will be available daily from 10am-7pm until September 4th. The inflatables at Alamitos Beach playground will have multiple floating structures that include "springboards, bouncers, monkey bars" and more. The inflatables at Bay Shore Avenue beach playground will have multiple climbing structures, bouncers and domes.

Long Beach Mayor Rex Richardson said that these inflatable playgrounds "create a welcoming environment at the city’s beaches and provides the community a free, fun activity in the “hot days of summer.” Now in order to enjoy the inflatable playgrounds, people must pass a swim test before they can join in on the fun because personal flotation devices won't be allowed on the playgrounds. Also kids under 9 years old must be accompanied by an adult. For more information, click here.
