A few months ago Disney+ removed several movies from children's profiles citing negative stereotypes depicted in the films.
Some of the films pulled include Dumbo, Swiss Family Robinson, The Aristocats, and Peter Pan but some folks are just now noticing.
The streaming platform also added a warning message before the movies play on adult accounts.
“This program includes negative depictions and/or mistreatment of people or cultures,” the message reads. “These stereotypes were wrong then and are wrong now. Rather than remove the content, we want to acknowledge its harmful impact, learn from it and spark conversation to create a more inclusive future together.”
