LA Food Bank

The need in our community is great. One in seven people living in Los Angeles County struggles with food insecurity. For children, one in four are hungry.

The Food Bank acquires food and grocery products and distributes that food through our agency network and Food Bank programs to children, seniors, working families and individuals facing hunger in our community.

The Food Bank provides well-balanced meals and food kits for children facing hunger. This helps prevent nutritional deficiencies that could turn into lifelong health problems such as obesity, heart disease and diabetes

October 18, 2018 — For the 16th consecutive year, Six Flags Magic Mountain will collect food for the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank during the annual “Bag-A-Ticket” holiday food drive. On Monday, November 19, guests who bring a full bag of non-perishable food items will receive a FREE park admission ticket, good for that day. All donated food will be given to the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank. Through the public’s generous donations, this drive continues to be one of the largest single-day food collection efforts for the Food Bank.

Park hours for Monday, November 19 are 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Holiday in the Park begins at 5 p.m. Food items will be collected from 9:30 a.m. until 4 p.m.
