Social Media Influencer Faked Going To Coachella On Instagram

A social media influencer faked an entire trip to Coachella just to prove a point about social media.

Gabbie Hanna came clean this week about how a she took photos that made it look like she was at Coachella in Indio for a social media stunt.

In a YouTube video, Gabbie explained that she didn't want to attend Coachella because it “feels like a lot of work for something you’re not enjoying.”

Although the photos can help influencers get noticed on social media, she explained the trip can take weeks of preparation and costs thousands of dollars.

Instead, Gabbie took photos at a friend's house and used PhotoShop to get her Coachella content on Instagram.

The blogger, who has 3.8 million followers, changed all of the captions to her Coachella photos, saying “OOPS I faked it all!”

Gabbie says she wants the prank to be a reminder to everyone that what people see on social media might not be what it seems.
