The weather in Southern California has been interesting lately. From super cold temps to constant rain, now snow!
News outlets are reporting that low-lying regions of SoCal may see some snow Thursday, due to a big blast of cold air that is moving to the area.
This cold front will move from Nevada which means snow could fall anywhere in the Southland, except for coastline areas. It's a rare occurrence, but if it happens it'll be between noon and 5 pm. Thunder and hail are also in the forecast.
You may have noticed that The Grapevine and Cajon Pass already had snow accumulation overnight. While some school districts actually canceled class in San Bernardino due to the snow!
Off the 14 Freeway in Palmdale cars actually had a few inches of accumulated snow, along with a dusting on the ground.
Meanwhile, the 5 Freeway through Grapevine is now actually closed in both directions. There is a thick layer of snow covering the Freeway. If you are in an area where there is snowfall please drive extra safe!
