La Llorona, aka 'The Weeping Woman.' Most of us know the story, but now it's being turned into a movie and you can count me out on seeing it. I do not do well with scary movies and this looks terrifying.
In case you aren't familiar, the Mexican legend is about the ghost of a woman who killed herself after drowning her two children in a river. Now she wanders the earth looking for her children. Often parents use this story to scare their children into not staying out late since La Llorona is attracted to children, thinking they're hers.
The Curse of La Llorona hits theaters in April.
If you want, somehow our very own Patty Rodriguez turned this story into a children's book and you can buy it here!
I think I'll just stick to listening to the version of the song from CoCo, thanks.
