About a year ago, it was announced that the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California would begin construction on a new 6,500-space parking structure near the Mickey & Friends structure.
Disney released an announcement that the structure is "starting to take shape" and they will also be adding a new pedestrian bridge over Magic Way.
The new bridge will allow visitors to walk from the parking structure, over Magic Way, and to the rest of the resort. It will let guests walk through the Downtown Disney District and to the theme parks' main entrance. And if you've done the way before, you know it takes forever with traffic crossing the street! So this will help eliminate the foot traffic and a safer way to walk to the parks.
Disney expects all the construction to be completed next year.
