Ariana Grande Is Stepping Out Of The Spotlight To "Mend & Heal"

Over the past couple of weeks, my heart has been really heavy for Ariana Grande. I've only met her once or twice. I don't know her and yet she's been on my heart.

It was just over a year ago that 22 people were killed at one of her shows. The PTSD and anxiety that has come with that... I can't imagine. Then two weeks ago, her ex-boyfriend, Mac Miller, passes away from an alleged drug overdose.

Within a couple of hours, the pop superstar had to disable her comments due to trolls blaming his death on her. Imagine that. Being hit with the news that someone you were in love with up until very recently is gone and then being wrongfully blamed for that.

Ari and Pete Davidson were supposed to attend the Emmys together, but understandably decided to not attend.

Her team released a statement to People Magazine. “Given the events of the past couple of years, Ariana is going to take some much needed time to heal and mend,” it said. “She will be staying close to home and using this period to spend time with her loved ones and work on new music without deadline. She thanks her fans for their understanding."

We should be nothing but understanding. It's quite literally the very least we can do. I hope she is finding comfort and support in her fiance and family, seeing a therapist, and doing a lot of self-care.

We're sending you so much love, Ari.
