Earlier this year, Heinz asked Twitter to vote whether or not "Mayochup" should exist. People online lost their minds. Thanks to the 500,000 fans who voted "yes", the condiment is coming to stores in the United States.
But before it hits stores, there is another voting process. From September 17 to 18 (today and tomorrow, people), Heinz is letting people on Twitter decide where the condiment goes first.
The city gets the most votes will be treated to a "food truck takeover," a.k.a. free french fries and Mayochup, before the new product goes national. The three cities competing are Culver City, CA, Chicago, and Brooklyn.
Don't worry if your city doesn't win. Mayochup will be rolling out nationwide later this month. It'll be available on Amazon and Walmart in a 16-ounce squeeze bottle. And if you really like Mayochup, you're in luck because it's not a limited release product. It's here to stay!
