If you've been to a Dodger's game, you know how much fun they can be, but also what a nightmare traffic is going to and from the stadium.
Well, the city of Los Angeles is looking to change that with a brand-new gondola proposal that would connect Union Station to Dodger Stadium.
According to the L.A. Times, the proposal was funded by former Dodgers owner Frank McCourt's company, and the gondola would bring passengers from Union Station to the stadium in just five minutes.
L.A. Mayor Eric Garcetti commented on the idea saying: "Los Angeles is a gorgeous city. It lays out at night like this bed of jewels. This isn't something that's just about Dodgers games…. It will become something for visitors, for local residents, for first dates, for marriage proposals."
The Dodgers are all in favor of this gondola proposal and said that it's "'an important and innovative project' that would improve the fan experience and remove cars from neighborhood streets."
This would obviously help lessen both traffic congestion and pollution.
The cost of the ride is yet to be determined, but it will be cheaper than the current $20 parking fee at the stadium.
Garcetti says that final decisions will be made within the next few years with a potential 2022 launch date.
