I could not think of a more refreshing Spring time drink than a strawberry-flavored Starbucks frappuccino. The famous coffee franchise has created just that with their newest invention: the Strawberry Very Much Frappuccino.
Sounds delicious, right? Well, I hate to break it to you, but odds are you won't be able to try it unless you are planning a Spring trip to Japan because it is exclusively sold in Japanese Starbucks locations.
According to Bustle, the drink will be sold throughout the rest of the Spring season and will be taken off the menu come May 29th.
To really rub it in that we don't get to try this, Bustle also released a description of the drink that makes me want to book a flight to Japan immediately just to get one of these. The website says that it is like a creamy sweet and sour strawberry smoothie but with coffee.
This isn't the first time Japan has made a very colorful and refreshing drink that we completely envied. They created the millennial pink latte that was all over Instagram back at the beginning of the year. It's also not the first time that we've been out-staged by another country's Starbucks frappuccino concoction. Like, remember the Caramel Popcorn Pretzel Frappuccino sold in Australia or the Strawberry Honey Blossom Créme Frappuccino also from Japan?
I've said it before, and I'll say it again, U.S. Starbucks, please step up your game and give the people what they want, which right now is a Strawberry Very Much Frappuccino.
