The one, the only Oprah Winfrey will be USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism's Commencement speaker this year. Wait, What?!
Oprah will be speaking to about 900 graduating communication and journalism students on May 11th, according to NBCLA.
@USCAnnenberg has announced that @Oprah Winfrey will deliver the #commencement speech for the school’s #graduation ceremony. Annenberg announced earlier this month that its ceremony will be a ticketed event held at the Shrine Auditorium. Each Annenberg communication and journalism graduate has been given four tickets to accommodate guests for the commencement ceremony. Students must claim their tickets by April 15 or they will be forfeited. Students can begin requesting additional tickets on April 23. Students can claim their tickets at http://uscannenberg.universitytickets.com. In 2017, #Oprah delivered commencement speeches for Smith College and Agnes Scott College. #oprahwinfrey #speech
USC Annenberg's dean Willow Bay said: "Oprah Winfrey is one of the most powerful and effective communicators of our time, and someone I deeply admire for her commitment to using her voice for good. I am both incredibly excited to hear her speak, and deeply grateful to her for sharing the day with our graduates."
Each graduate will receive only four tickets for their guests in order to accommodate everyone at the graduation, taking place in the Shrine Auditorium next to campus.
This is not the first time Oprah has given a commencement speech. She has previously spoken at Harvard, Stanford and Skidmore.
What better way to go off into the real world than with an inspirational send-off from OPRAH?!
