Taylor Swift shocked fans during her Eras Tour stop in New Orleans over the weekend by bringing out Sabrina Carpenter for an epic surprise mashup.
The Midnights musician took the surprise songs segment of her Saturday (October 26) show at Caesars Superdome to the next level by enlisting the help of the "Taste" singer for a unique mashup of some of their hits, per People.
The pair first teased fans when Swift made a phone call and put Carpenter "on speakerphone" to tell her own the crowd "sang ever single word so loud" when she sang part of the latter's hit song "Espresso." After asking why she wasn't there and if she could "come down to the stadium real quick," Carpenter said she would "see you soon" and almost immediately appeared on stage, much to the delight of the cheering crowd.
They then treated the fans to a fun mashup of Carpenter's songs "Espresso" and "Please Please Please" along with Swift's own "Is It Over Now?"
Carpenter shared her own video from the night on her Instagram on Sunday of her walking down the catwalk on stage before leading the entire crowd into an acoustic rendition of "Espresso."
"only stage i'd ever wanna see on a day off," she captioned the post. "thank you for working late, thank you for being a singer and thank you for having me 🤍 @taylorswift i love you!!"
Carpenter made time on her off day for the surprise appearance as she has been traveling around the country for her own Short n' Sweet tour, which has drawn in many famous faces hoping to catch the show and even sparked a bit of backlash from some who think her performances are too provocative.
