Usher claims his X account was hacked after every post temporarily disappeared from his timeline.

Loyal fans took to the platform formerly known as Twitter on Sunday, September 22, and pointed out that all of Usher's nearly 7,000 posts had been scrubbed from his account. The only posts that remained were his replies. Artists are known to clear their social media timelines whenever he or she plans to make a huge announcement, but that wasn't the case this time. Hours after fans noticed his timeline was removed, Usher himself offered an explanation.

"Account got hacked and damn y’all ran with it! 😂😂😂 See you tonight at Intuit Dome ✌🏾👀✌🏾" he wrote.

People were quick to try and tie the shocking move to his alleged connections to Sean "Diddy" Combs amid the music mogul's sex trafficking case. Fans have suspected Usher is somehow involved with Combs' case after Rodney "Lil Rod" Jones seemingly alluded to him in a lawsuit Jones filed against Diddy earlier this year. In court documents, Jones claimed that Diddy “informed him that he had engaged in sexual intercourse with” an unnamed R&B singer who “performed at the Superbowl [sic] and had a successful Vegas residency.”

Critics also pointed to a 2016 radio interview in which the Grammy award-winning singer revealed he lived with the Bad Boy founder for a year in the 1990s and claimed to have witnessed some "wild things" while he was there. “I went there to see the lifestyle," Usher said. "And I saw it. But I don’t know if I could indulge and understand what I was even looking at. It was pretty wild. It was crazy. There were very curious things taking place and I didn’t necessarily understand it.”

Fans were convinced Usher, and fellow pop star P!nk, were trying to clean up their X accounts in preparation for whatever might come out of Combs' case. However, the unfounded conspiracy theories were deflated once Usher released his statement and his posts were restored. As for P!nk, she hasn't been on X since she decided to quit the platform earlier this year.
