Ice Spice has responded after former friend Cleotrapa made several eye-popping allegations against her.
In a lengthy five-part rant she posted on Monday, September 2, rapper Cleotrapa claimed she was "played, betrayed and unpaid" while traveling with Ice Spice during the Bronx rapper's "Y2K! Tour." It all started after Ice asked Cleo to join her first headlining tour as an opening act just a day before the tour began. After she confronted Ice about a discrepancy over carrying her own luggage, Cleo claimed she was barred from sharing Ice's dressing room and was denied a chicken salad because Cleo wasn't included in the tour's budget.
“This girl was really mad at me for saying something about that luggage,” Cleo said. “She don’t want nobody to say nothing to her. She tried to lowkey torture me.”
Cleo's rant instantly went viral and became the hot topic of the day on X formerly known as Twitter. Following all the discourse, Ice Spice and her manager decided to address the accusations. The "Princess Diana" rapper jumped on X Spaces and claimed the only thing she was guilty of was trying to help her out.
“Crashing out is sad, you guys,” Ice began. “The scary part of fame, honestly, is the moment that somebody feels like they can no longer use your platform or they’re not getting exactly what they want out of a situation the way that they want it. That’s when they decide to crash out every single time. I’m noticing a pattern."
“This s**t is sad because I genuinely was trying to help her," she continued. "What had actually happened is that we added another tour bus so I was like, ‘Now we have extra room, we have extra bunks.’ So I was like, ‘Oh, let me see if Cleo wants to come so she can do her songs.’ But that’s what the f**k I get for trying to be a good person.”
