Ice Spice has finally released her first studio album, and it's already got fans talking.
On Friday, July 26, the Bronx rapper dropped her long-awaited debut LP Y2K! via 10K Projects and Capitol Records. Her recent single "Phat Butt" serves as the intro followed by her fresh collaboration with Travis Scott "Oh Shhh..." The 10-track album also holds "B*tch I'm Packin'" with Gunna plus previously released songs like "Did It First" featuring Central Cee, "Think U The Sh*t (Fart)" and "Gimme A Light." A couple of hours before the album dropped, her song "BB Belt" leaked and had fans buzzing about an alleged shot at Cardi B.
"Think she pretty, but changin' her face (Damn)/Fallin' behind like, b***h, pick up your pace," Ice Spice raps. "It was funny 'til I took her place/Her man callin', but I be like, 'Who this?'/I'm a switchy b***h, I really do this."
Ice Spice and Cardi B were cool at one point. They even had a civil exchange on X formerly known as Twitter earlier this year. However, fans now believe the 24-year-old rapper shaded her on "BB Belt," especially after Bardi appeared to react to the rumors on social media.
“These b***hes have absolutely lost their mind… I’m getting all my lick backs on my album tho …ON EACH ONE OF YOU B***HES !!!" Cardi B wrote on X. “These b***hes can’t see me in numbers or status, y’all had WAY too much time to catch up. Can’t see me in money, can’t see me in real estate, fashion, and CAN’T SEE ME IN PERSON either. I’m not in a rat race with none of you b***hes!! And ima show yall."
