Fans are wondering if a feud between legendary pop stars Cher and Madonna has been reignited after the latter used an old interview clip of the former in her new Celebration Tour. Madonna's current tour features a video of Cher telling a reporter how she feels about the "Like A Virgin" singer in 1991. "There's something about her that I don't like. She's mean. I don't like that," Cher says in the old clip.
Despite Madonna using the clip in her tour, Cher insists that she's on good terms with the fellow pop icon. "I said a lot worse than that," she told the Los Angeles Times last week. "It’s not a beef. I actually like her. But come on." She went on to reveal that any kind of feud is long behind them.
"We buried that hatchet a long time ago because I called her something so much worse, and she forgave me," Cher revealed. She went on to praise Madonna. "There’s no one like her that had their ear to the ground and knew everything before anybody else," she said.
"I mean, she knew what was coming, and she was right on it. I always felt that was her greatest gift — that she could know the trends before any of us."
So what did Cher call Madonna that was "so much worse" than calling her "mean" back in 1991? When the LA Times asked that same question, Cher teased, "Look it up."
