The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia says Taylor Swift's Eras Tour has boosted local economies in every city she performs. The "Beige Book" is released eight times a year and describes economic changes in specific areas. Tourism in Northeast US is recovering post-COVID-19. The star had three shows in Philadelphia in May, which was the strongest month for hotel revenue in Philadelphia since the pandemic began, thanks to an influx of guests for the Taylor Swift concerts. Chicago hotel occupancy also set records during the tour weekend. According to Choose Chicago, Swift's performances and other events generated $39 million in total hotel revenue and over 44,000 occupied hotel rooms, a record for the city. Taylor’s economic effect has not only boosted the U.S. economy, but the “Lavender Haze” singer just announced her international leg of the “Eras” Tour, where she is the first in many countries to book multiple night performances.
