Bebe Rexha joined us in The Mercedes-Benz Interview Lounge to talk about being nominated for a Grammy, writing songs for other artists, and her latest track, 'I'm Good'.
This has been an outstanding year for Bebe Rexha with the viral release of her new single featuring David Guetta, 'I'm Good'. What many fans don't know, however, is the song was written over 5 years ago! She explains, "when we did it, 'I'm Good', ... it was just like, let's do a remix of this Eiffel 65 song. It'll be fun, whatever." Amazingly, the song surfaced on TikTok five years later. From that experience, Bebe Rexha is "learning that anything is possible."
Another big win was her Grammy Nomination. Although not her first, this one felt special.
"I was crying, I was excited. I've been nominated before, but this was just so unexpected because we just did the song and put it out. The story of the song is so crazy, but I never imagined that when I wrote the song 5-6 years ago that it was going to be nominated for a Grammy."
Throughout her career, Bebe Rexha has also written songs for many artists such as Rihanna, Selena Gomez, and Nikki Williams. She says when she performs, people are often surprised at the range like "wow, she did that song?!"
For the holidays, Bebe Rexha plans to throw a huge Christmas party with food, movies, and friends.
