Selena Gomez has officially confirmed what she and REMA have been cooking up in the studio. Last week, the singer took to her Instagram Stories to tease fans about an upcoming collaboration. The post featured a photo of the two artists with the caption "coming soon." On Monday, August 22nd, Gomez revealed exactly what they've been working on.

"An all new version of @heisrema “Calm Down” is coming 8/26," she wrote on Instagram. "So excited for this one!" The announcement came with an Instagram Reel showing the two artists meeting and working on the song together. "I'm really excited to see the person that asked me to be on a song that I couldn't be more honored to do. So, this song's fun! I hope people like it. That's all I want," Gomez says.

The video also features REMA having a bit of a fangirl moment when he hugs Selena for the first time. "I'm so happy, like, I'm literally shaking right now. I can't handle myself," says the Nigerian superstar. Gomez humbly replies, "No! Enjoy the show. I'm gonna watch you," as REMA gets ready to hit the stage. "I promise you you're gonna enjoy."

This will be the first new material to come from the singer since she revealed in an interview that she had officially returned to the studio and was working on new material. "I just finished Season 4 of my cooking show [Selena + Chef], and I am in L.A. working on my album now," Gomez told Deadline's Crew Call. She also teased that she would be open to taking her music on the road again. "I am open to a tour, 1,000 percent," she said. "But I obviously have obligations and things that I want to do, so, when the time's right. It's not the top of my priority list."
