This is sad news for Grey's fans! According to Deadline, Ellen Pompeo will be in Season 19 of Grey's Anatomy in a limited capacity. Ellen will only appear in only 8 episodes for season 19, and Grey's seasons typically last 22-24 episodes! Ellen will continue to do narration voiceovers but not for every episode, and she will remain an executive producer on the series. Ellen Pompeo is set to take on a new role where she will appear in Hulu’s Orphan limited series inspired by the true story of Ukranian-born Natalia Grace and her US adoptive parents who claimed that she was an adult “sociopath” pretending to be a child!
