LeBron James Becomes The NBA's 1st Active Player To Become A Billionaire!

LeBron James from the Los Angeles Lakers has become the first active NBA player to become a billionaire!

Forbes reported that the NBA star "maximized his business" by generating more than $1.2 billion in pretax earnings. His NBA salary alone has amounted to $383 million over the past 19 years from the three different teams he has been apart of and has "ranked in upwards of $900 million in income from endorsements and other business ventures." James is a smart man and has included equity from his endorsement deals with Nike, AT&T, PepsiCo and Walmart, which gives him a "cut of the upside instead of a quick paycheck."

Michael Jordan is the only other basketball player that has reached the billionaire list on Forbes' list but he didn't do so until a decade after he retired. Click here for more.
