Last week the Los Angeles City Council approved $64 million in bond financing to start construction on a new affordable and permanent housing in South L.A.

Abode Communities and Neighborhood Housing Services of L.A. County have teamed up to build the Manchester Urban Homes at the northwest corner of 88th Street and Broadway. There will be a total of 122 residential units, which include a 76-unit apartment building facing Broadway and 46 townhomes on the rear of the site.

The apartments will be a mixture of one, two and three bedroom residences for households that earn up to 60% of the L.A. area median income. Visit Urbanize Los Angeles for more info.
