Man Is Found Guilty Of Killing His GF After A TikTok Tip Lead To His Arrest

According to KTLA 5, Victor Hugo Sosa was taken into custody back in July 2021 in connection with the death of his 19-year old girlfriend, Daisy Delao, on February 23,2021 and TikTok played a role in helping capture him.

Delao's body was found behind her apartment complex located on the block of Long Beach Blvd. in an unincorporated area of Compton. Sosa was identified immediately as a suspect but had fled to Mexico.

Delao's friends and family created a viral hashtag on TikTok (#JusticeforDaisy) after they began to share her story and photos of Sosa in hopes of getting justice for her murder. The hashtag ended up helping authorities locate Sosa to arrest him for Delao's murder.

Someone saw videos from that hashtag and notified the Los Angeles County sheriff's department about Sosa's whereabouts in Mexico. He was arrested on July 2, 2021 and brought back to L.A. to be charged with first-degree murder. Sosa was charged yesterday, May 4, for the murder of his girlfriend Daisy Delao and will be sentenced at a later time for the crime.
