LAUSD Planning To Give 1st Graders A Savings Account with $50 Deposits

According to KTLA 5, the Los Angeles Unified School District will be giving all first graders a savings account with a $50 deposit.

This is part of the program, Opportunity L.A., to help families start planning for their children to attend college. The program will be providing students Citibank accounts with the money to all first graders in the 519 elementary schools.
