Pregnant Meghan Trainor Reveals She’s Managing Gestational Diabetes

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Mom-to-be Meghan Trainor Zoomed with Ryan Seacrest on Friday, November 20, to celebrate the release of her debut Christmas album, A Very Trainor Christmas, and update Seacrest and the team on her pregnancy and the little one on the way.

Last time Meghan stopped by the studio, she shared she wanted twins with husband Daryl Sabara.

“February he’s supposed to pop out,” Meghan shared of her baby-to-be. “I really wanted twins and a lot of people were like, ‘I just have a feeling its twins.’ And the second I started popping I was like, ‘Oh my God! I’m huge. It’s twins.’ And they’re like, ‘No, it’s one.’ And I’m like, ‘You sure? Can you check again?’”

The 26-year-old added that she’s had a great pregnancy so far and it’s been “pretty easy” but she's recently been diagnosed with gestational diabetes.

“I just got diagnosed with gestational diabetes,” she shared with Seacrest and the team after Sisanie expressed the realness of pregnancy. “Today is the first day I’m like taking my blood, making sure I write down what I eat — it’s a whole thing.
It’s very common and it’s all genetics,” Meghan added. “I’m like, ‘I’m sorry, man! I ate such crap in the first few trimesters.’ And they’re like, ‘It’s not you. It’s nothing you ate. It’s in your genetics.’ And I’m like OK because my mom did have it too.”

As for those recent headlines that Meghan isn’t too keen on pregnancy sex, the songstress joked it’s all good. (ICYMI, Meghan said “mentally I can’t have sex while our son is in between us.
All I can think about is that there’s a little boy in my belly.”)

“The ‘Today’ show asked me this! I’m like, ‘Why are you asking this?’” she laughed. “We’re happy. We’re doing stuff. We’re not just like dead inside
the boy [Daryl] is happy, he’s fine!”
