Itâs no secret Jason Deruloâs in great shape â remember those salmon smoothies and golf cart deadlifts? Well, naturally Ryan Seacrest had to ask the âSavage Loveâ crooner how heâs staying in shape in 2020 quarantine. Derulo joined Seacrest via Zoom on Wednesday, November 18, and dished his workout secrets as well as whatâs on his holiday wish list this year.
âWhen Iâm trying to maintain, honestly, I work out once every single day,â Derulo shared. âThe days off kind of come naturally ⊠but, I tell myself Iâm going to the gym every single day and when Iâm really on it Iâll do a cardio for 30 minutes and then Iâll do my weights, so itâll be two workouts in a day and thatâs when the whole game changes.â
While âasking for a friendâ aka himself which is better, cardio or weights first, Seacrest learned from Derulo itâs all about your goals.
âIt depends on what your goal is: if your goal is to build more mass then you should do the weights first,â the 8-pack owner shared. âIf your goal is to lean up, you should do the cardio first because obviously, the first workout is going to be better than the last.â
While weâre adding workout equipment to our holiday list for Seacrest, Derulo is in need of simpler items he forgets about. Like, for example, hair care.
"You should be thinking about things that I need like things that slipped my mind, the simple things, just being thoughtful,â Derulo shared of the perfect gift this holiday season. âLike, I be running out of hair gel sometimes. ⊠Thoughtful. Like, âHe knows Iâm going to use that.â Thatâs a vibe.â
