Derek Hough has welcomed a new baby to the family: puppy Luna! The World of Dance judge Zoomed with Ryan Seacrest on Tuesday, July 28, and shared how it’s going puppy parenting with girlfriend Hayley Erbert, how he got started on TikTok and what to expect on the latest season of World of Dance.
Derek shared Luna is the “cutest” and while it’s “pee and poo everywhere,” they couldn’t be more excited.
“We’re training her but she’s great, honestly, we lucked out,” he added. “She’s such a sweetheart. … It is a very like wake-up-three-times-a-night-switch-shifts you know situation.”
The World of Dance judge has also been keeping busy during quarantine by keeping social media followers entertained on TikTok.
“I did it as a joke because my nephew was like, ‘Man, you’re so behind the times!’ So I was like, 'Ok, I’ll get one.’ And it’s really just a greenlight to act like a fool,” Derek joked. “So I’m down for it!”
The new season of World of Dance is equally as fascinating, Derek added, with Jennifer Lopez and Ne-Yo back alongside him on the judging panel.
“This season has been a lot different with just the new format,” Derek teased. “… We’re still in this warehouse setting, it’s kind of like a dance-Fight Club.”
