Next Up Artist of the Week: Ashe

Ashe is our KIIS Next Up Artist of the Week! She joined KIIS FM's EJ for a virtual interview about life in quarantine, new music and more. When talking about her latest song "Moral of the Story," Ashe opens about the meaning of the song, which is about her relationship falling apart.

It's definitely got that screwed up Disney song/vibe. It's like a Disney song for adults. It's hopeless romantic in the way of like, you know, my relationship fell apart but still looking at it with sort of rose colored glasses. It was good for me in the end.

Although "Moral of the Story" was released in February 2019 and was featured in the Netflix film To All The Boys: P.S. I Still Love You, Niall Horan jumped on the song in June 2020.

I think initially when I knew he was going to send his vocals over and test it out, I was really nervous that he was not going to sound good on the record. I knew he was beautifully talented and I knew he was going to do a good job, but you never know until you hear it. But I feel like it's crazy we never actually met in person because it sounds like we've been homies for a long time.
