Restaurants have been spotted adding a COVID-19 surcharges to take-out bills.
A customer shared her discovery of a "covid surcharge" on Twitter by posting her receipt and tagging the restaurant.
The restaurant explained that the surcharge was implemented in May due to the increased price for meat, seafood and vegetables from their local supplier.
They posted about the additional charge in the store and everyone was fine with it but once it went viral the restaurant received a lot of criticism.
