Taylor Swift's Netflix Doc 'Miss Americana' Gets A Release Date

Taylor Swift's highly-anticipated Netflix documentary is coming to the streaming platform on January 31.

As per an update of the listing on the platform, Swift's almost-90 minute film is scheduled to become available at the end of the month. Meanwhile, Taylor Swift: Miss Americana is set to make its debut at the opening night of Sundance on January 23. "In this revealing documentary, Taylor Swift embraces her role as a songwriter and performer — and as a woman harnessing the full power of her voice," reads the description of the title.

The doc, which was directed by Emmy winner Lana Wilson and produced by Academy Award winner Morgan Nevill, is in collaboration with Tremolo Production. Among the other production credits for the film include Academy Award winner Caitrin Rogers and Christine O’Malle.

In other celebratory news, Swift is this year’s recipient of the GLAAD Vanguard Award, an achievement bestowed to "allies who have made a significant difference in promoting acceptance of LGBTQ people." She will be honored with the title at the 31st Annual GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles on April 16.
